Can I wash my hair during my period?

Some people said I'll get sick and some people said people die from it if I wash my hair. But I do it all the time, then this lady said I would get sick later. Is it true?

I know there are a lot of beliefs for things like this. However. When I'm on my period I shower everyday and I have never got sick (inc washing my hair ? just don't tell the person who told you that you do) there is no connection between wet hair and getting sick. Unless you walk out the door in -10 and you have wet hair you will be fine. I sometimes run out to start my car when its colder than that while in my period with wet hair. Its a bad idea but I still don't get sick. It does snap your hair though if you bend it frozen so it needs to defrost before brushing out or touching.
