Mums with kids with an age gap of 2/3 years..

Myself and my partner have been together just over 3 years. We have a 1 year old son who turns 2 in February. And I was just wondering how you found it when you had another child when you son/daughter was 2/3 years old... Was it difficult? Anything you didn't expect? Was it better with two so close in age? Or do you wish they had a bigger age gap? My partner and I aren't on birth control but we aren't focusing on TTC.  We are just going with the mindset.. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't it doesn't.... Thank you in advance for the advice!
