Positive opk a wk before ovulation?

Has anyone ever had a positive opk but didn't actually ovulate until days later? I had a positive opk, and then it was negative the next day...a whole week later is when I had ewcm and also felt pain on my right ovary? I didn't have anymore opks so I didn't test, now I'm confused about which day I actually ovulated!

How do u know you didn't ovulate until 2 days later? I got a positive opk and then 2 days later mine was negative. You test until you get a positive opk then you have sex for 3 days straight. You don't test again until your next ovulation time. This is what my fertility dr suggested.

Maybe you misread yozr first OPK....
