Nuvaring bf came inside me

I have never let him, but I did yesterday. I know it's supposed to be effective even if he does that. Does anyone else let their boyfriend do this? Should I get plan b? 
I use my ring as directed. I never put it in or take it out within 5 miniutes of the hour I change it.
