Breast feeding and period ....?

I recently just had my second child my daughter . My first is a boy. I am exclusively breast feeding she actually won't take a bottle. She will be 10 weeks tomorrow and I just got my period or at least what I think is my period it came with lots of cramping the days leading up to it. I'm actually kind of upset and baffled as to why it's here. With my son I didn't get it until he was a year old and he was breast and bottle fed. Correct me if I'm wrong dosent breast feeding delay your period and fertility. What could be the reason why it started so early and is there a way that I could stop it ?

It can delay the return of your period but every one is different with my second child I didn't get my period back till he was two my first child I got it back about 8 weeks post partum

First off, yay for breastfeeding. Lol. It can return at any time. I just got mine back when my daughter turned 17 months. :/

Actually the first 6-8 months after the birth of a child is the time that you are most fertile,very fertile actually. The reason for that is because your body has been completely thrown out if waxk with the hormones and it will do what it thinks it needs to do to level out the hormones an the brassiest way firths body to do that is to produce another baby.
