E cigs while Ttc?

What does everyone think about smoking e cigarettes while pregnant or ttc?

For the love of God there is so much ignorance floating around today in regards to vaping. This is the second post I have seen with an abundance of misinformation.

For one, no, they are not worse than actual cigarettes nor are they even close. If you are referring to the study from the NEJM, that was not an accurate study and used inappropriate testing methods. Do a tad bit of research before throwing around "what you heard".

Also, there are not tons of chemicals in all vape juice. There is actually TONS of organic and food grade juice companies that use as little as 2 ingredients. You can even use organic cotton.

Then we have the nicotine nonsense. You can buy nicotine free juices.

Vaping, if done properly and organically, is virtually harmless.

The same people complaining about chemicals are the same people ingesting thousands of them in simple food products they eat for dinner.

I saw a report on the news that said the e cigarettes are more harmful for you than actual cigarettes - apparently they have more of the cancer causing agent in the e ones than normal?

My opinion is it's another crutch and the vapors are horrible for you. I quit smoking cold turkey but I really wanted it...a potential baby should do the trick?

I wouldn't use them, there isn't enough research. Just wait until after the baby is born. Better safe than sorry.
I don't believe ecigs are worse than actually cigarettes though. There are over 7000 chemicals in cigarettes. You can get organic eliquid, that's probably safer than regular eliquid.

Yeah I heard same thing as Samantha they are worse then your normal smokes. I still smoke but I have cut down

This post is over a year old! They just had a study on the news linking e cig and vaping to popcorn lung, which is the illness that the people who worked in popcorn factories get.

I vaped and conceived just fine. Also, people trying to say how bad it is for you? Do you smoke cigarettes? Far worse. Lung cancer, mouth cancer, breathing problems etc. But yeah, vaping is worse because big tobacco companies are sick of losing money over it. They are more convenient, smell better, taste better, are better for you, and depending on how much you smoke it, you can make it a month or more on one bottle of e-liquid that's about 6 or 7 bucks. Whatever though. Real cigarettes aren't the real problem anymore I guess??
