Vaginal after c section?

Question

Has anyone done or is going to have a vagjnal birth after a c section? 
How do you go about doing it? 
Do you have to have doctor approval to be able to?

I had a csection due to having my water being broken for 24hours and I wasn't dialating and my daughters head was so big. She was 9 pounds 1 ounce.  So needless to say she was a big girl.  One thing I didn't like about a csection was I couldnt really be involved as much as I wanted. I was so out of it. I hope that this time around I get a natural birth.

My first was a csection because he wa breeched so I was given the ok to try for a vbac with my second and I managed to do it. This one will be vbac as well hopefully. Your doctor has to be on board with it and the reason for your first csection can't be a risk for repeating itself this time, such as small pelvis, failure to progress... It also depends on the type of incision you have.

I want to try for a vaginal birth this time. 
The reason for my c section last time was because I stopped progressing at a 5 and my water had been broke for to long. 
The OB I see now no longer delivers babies so when I do become pregnant she said she will have to evaluate me to and give me the go or no if it is safe for me to have a vaginal birth. 
I really want to go for vaginal because I don't want to become a repeat c section for the other kids I want, plus I want the experience if a vaginal. 
But I'm a little scared since I know what to expect from a c section and am clueless about a vaginal.

I had my fist son naturally and my second was an emergency c section! Now my doctor is supporting me to have a natural delivery and that's my first option for now.

I had the option but I opted for the elected c section... it depends on your dr really. Some are ok with trying and some are not. .. I think the circumstances of why you had a csection to begin with has a lot to do with its an option  or not.... my daughter was stuck,  faceup, head tilted, 9 lbs,  2 oz. ... giant head lol and never came down ever... I stopped progressing at 7cm... anyway... my dr said I had a 50/50 shot and they would be limited to what meds they could use for an induction
