So I went for my ultrasound today.   I walk into the room and the tech goes "why did they have you come back this week? Are there problems?" I said I didn't know, just got the phone call that dr Abraham wanted me to have another scan this week.    We're a few minutes into the sono and she goes "Ahh...I know why they wanted you to come back.  There looks like 2.  I think you're having twins!"  Imagine my surprise/shock/confusion.....I started to cry.   She goes "I'm gonna keep looking around, but it looks like 2.  But I could be wrong."  So after a half an hour or so, she said she was going to go talk to the doctor to see what he thought and ask if they want another scan done next week.   She came back and he said he's not sure, it looks like 1 in some pictures, but there were a few that it looked like 2.   He was gonna review more today or tomorrow and they will call if they want to set up another scan.  If not, I go back January 6th.  They said everything looks great. She was like "I hope I didn't scare you.  I'm not 100% sure if it's twins or not."    My mind is going a mile a minute!!!  I'm obviously terrified/nervous.   But I can't get too worked up until we know for sure!   But when she pointed it out, it did look like 2 heartbeats.  She said it could either be 2 heartbeats or the baby is folded up right and we were seeing the pulsation of the umbilical cord.    I would just like to know one way or the other.  This suspense is gonna kill me!!
