Is anyone here taking the depo shot? I started taking it after I had my baby , so basically my first shot was on August and the second one was October but I haven't stopped spotting , it's light but it's very annoying , is this normal?

I was on depo for 1.5 years. I would spot when my next shot was due. Spotting is a normal side effect of the shot.

I was on depo over 3 years. I never had the spotting problems, however, I had a random period around the first couple months I was on it. About 3 shots in, my periods deceased completely and even 6-7 months after I was off of it, they still remained to disappear at their normal time. I've been off depo nearly a year now and I still don't have regular periods. Needless to say, depo is the ABSOLUTE best shot when it comes to preventing pregnancy, however, the missed periods are something to adjust to if you plan to take depo long term.
