How much do you care what others think of you?

On average, how much do you care what people outside of your immediate family think of you? Also, I'm talking about the real (not online) world here.

I actually force myself to be a perfectionist because I care what others think of me. I strive to do the very best, especially at work.

I care more then I like to admit. I voted more then a little. I try to be the best and perfect for everyone around me... It seems the harder I try to not care the more I end up caring lol its an endless cycle ? oh well.

I care so much it affects my day to day life. I've left school because of it. But I think I just might have some type of irrational fear of public haa and people

I picked "a lot," and I'm surprised that more people didn't. Unless your family is independently wealthy and powerful, what people think of you determines your quality of life. Everything from school to jobs to your friends to your spouse/partner and so on is dependent on how you're perceived by others. Moreover, I think a person's ability to communicate effectively affects her/his life outcomes significantly.

I care about how I hold myself for me and God, not what others personally think. In my tangible life, I enjoy spreading smiles and laughter. (I'm a dork.) My personal views on real world subjects are only shared in this group, with my spouse, and any likeminded individuals. I will not please everyone but I strive to always have the best of good intentions when expressing myself. I love to uplift spirits in many ways and in as many people as I come across; whether or not they are receptive to it, does not bother me one bit. I'm still going to do what I do :)

I got to say a little. I care what my family and co workers think about me as far as integrity goes. However, I don't care if some random guy think a I'm ugly or whatever.

I care about what the ppl I care about think of me(if that makes sense) I don't care at all about what strangers think of me. But loved ones family and friends I do. Unless those loved ones family or friends are just being irrational and I know I'm not how they are perceiving me to be in a certain situation then I've learnt I know who I am and that I'm a decent, kind, loving person and I can't worry about what some ppl's guesses or misconstrued views of me are. I just have to keep being me and be truly happy about who I am.
