husband and i are ttc with donor sperm due to male factor. we're also using a donor that's not his race. husband is Caucasian and I'm half Korean. we chose a full Korean donor because we'd like to continue my race

My wife and I are using donor sperm. I wouldn't mind using a donor of another race, but we want someone who closely resembles my wife. I want her to look at her child and see herself, even if she's not a bio parent.

There's a lot of unspoken fear when using a sperm donor that the non-bio parent won't connect with the baby. So it really has nothing to do with the donor's race and more to do with finding someone with my wife's eyes and cheeks and freckles.

My wife and I also used donor sperm. She is full Caucasian yet the donor is 1/2 Greek, 1/4 Indian and 1/4 Caucasian. I am 3/4 Caucasian and 1/4 West Indian so genetically our baby will be different to us both. My wife picked our donor and I am extremely confident that she will love our baby no matter who he/she looks like, mainly because i have given birth and even though we had outside help if we hadn't made a joint decision our baby wouldn't be here.
