Ultrasound too early?

Question

anyone else go in too early for an ultrasound?  Went in at 6 weeks based on my period but the sac is measuring 5 weeks 4 days so can't make out much except small smudge inside it.  I think I did ovulate like 3 days later than you would w a 28 day cycle so makes sense - hoping when I go back in a week will see a heartbeat!  Anyone else go in too early?

Same situation- ovulated later than thought! Went in for dating U/S at 5 weeks 6 days , saw baby , but hb was considered low! Waited a week, to go back and see growing baby and a strong heartbeat! From all of my reading this seems to be very common with early ultrasounds, hang in there and try to relax( I know not easy!) but you just have to believe ! Happy holidayS

Yea. At my work we do ultrasounds, I had one, measuring 5w4d with just a yolk sac and gestational sac, had one two weeks later (the wait killed me!) and was 6w6d with a heart rate of 120. :)

I just had mine at 5 weeks, 5 days and I was lucky because they were able to find the heartbeat... But it seemed a little low. It was only 98bpm... But from all the literature that I've read, anywhere from 5-7 weeks the healthy range is between 90-110. Hopefully you are able to see your little one's heartbeat at your next appointment!!! *fingers crossed*

I went at 8 weeks (according to my period ) and measured 7 weeks .. Didn't hear a heartbeat .. Could it be too early ??

I had the exact same experience yesterday. By calendar I was 5weeks 6 days but I measured 5weeks 1 day on the ultrasound. They couldn't find the heartbeat so I will go back next week for a followup.

At least you're still measuring close to what you thought, that's good ☺ I went in when I was 6w3d based on LMP, but I ovulate a day or two later than normal, so I knew I'd measure small. Baby was exactly 6w, and had a good heart rate for that early ☺

Yes mine to according to the period I'm have 8 weeks but when I was go to the ultrasound it show like 6 week.
