I'm Pregnant! But need some help..

I took two at home pregnancy tests, one on Christmas eve, and one Christmas morning. (I went to the hospital last night for blood work to confirm) and the doctor told me I'm VERY early in my pregnancy (roughly just over 2 weeks) and that my 'number' was a 29 as of last night (12/26)

Anyway.... I went to the hospital to confirm this pregnancy because I had started what I believed to be my period. Very mild cramping, on a scale of 1-10 I gave it a 2. And the amount of blood is light. I was actually due to get my period over this past weekend. The doctor didn't seem too concerned, and said that it can be normal to have some bleeding in the first trimester, but just to monitor it, and check with my OB on monday.

But of course I'm nervous. So I guess I'm asking for some reassuring opinions. Can I be having my period still since I'm so early in my pregnancy?

I know I shouldn't stress too much, but I just can't help but feel concerned.

This would be my second pregnancy.
