I just got mine out and it worked like a charm while I had it. My fiance and I never used condoms or anything else and not one scare over the last 3 years. I never bruised like that getting mine in or out but I don't bruise easily at all.

I bruised badly after mine. Ive had it since May. Works like a charm... but the hormones make me look pubescent again. Oh yay. : /

Damn I wish mine looked that good the day after! This pic is me 4 days after, I think. I'm 8 days out now and bruising is almost completely gone, finally. So are the headaches I was getting. Thank God.

Oh yeah, that's definitely normal. You're lucky, actually - for two weeks after I had mine put in, I looked like I'd literally been punched in the arm.
