BBT:does it really help?

Question

Has anyone monitored their BBT accurately and conceived by doing it? I'm supposed to begin ovulating soon and am looking at buying the thermometer, but only if it is really helpful.

I never charted consistently, the first month that I charted from the day of my last period til that sweet temp spike for ovulation, we got pregnant.

It's definitely going to be a learning process. I got a cheap one at Walmart and this app says I should start temping tomorrow. With or without this Basal Thermometer, I've been a crazy lady since April trying to get pregnant!

It takes patience..and you have to do it for multiple cycles to look for patterns. In general, I think it stresses me out more than it has helped. I feel like it makes me a crazy lady..like yesterday my temp dropped and Iimmediately  thought AF was on her way..but this morning it went back up so I got excited and tested..bfn. If I wasn't temping I would never have known! Good luck whatever you decide! I got a cheap one at target for like $7 or something! Good luck :)
