What's the best birth control?

It's my first time getting on birth control and I've never needed it till now but I don't know what's best. I know it's different for everybody so I'm just curious.

Abstinence. No birth control is 100% effective. All birth controls have a fail rate, even if it's a small one.

The implanon it last for 4 yrs and its in your arm and you will not get pregnant.

Don't ever get depo. It is the worst birth control ever and should be taken off the market. It turned my boyfriends mom into someone that was paranoid that her family was planning on killing her. It didn't mess me up as bad, but I am not the same from before I was on depo.

Pill are harder to keep up with, Depo is what I used and it was just a shot every 3 months, and the implants in the arms can move around and the the cervical implants can become imbedded and cause other problems. I say shots or patches!

I've been on various pill BCs for the last 12 years, just switched to the Nexplanon implant so we'll see. So far, so good.

I have taken both the pill (loestrinFe24 is amazing!!!) and used Implanon. Implanon was great because you can't forget, but even two years later I still have a scar :(
