When to go off Birth Control!?

I have been on birth control (pill) for 10 years! My periods were so bad growing up! I am hoping to get pregnant fall/winter next year, when should I go off the pill? Also I am worried abou side effects and experiencing periods like I used to!!

Periods get a lot less crappy and more predictable as an adult, too, so maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Best bet, talk to your obgyn. Most Drs say you want 6 months of regular periods  before TTC. This will also give you ample time to work with your Obgyn to combat your  old period woes.
