Emotional holiday...

My Mil came to the UK to her only son's wedding. She's caused friction ever since she got here. It came to boiling point when she announced she was leaving early, tomorrow, and probably would never see us again unless we were in the USA.

I'm heartbroken for him.

I've called her every name under the sun, to the point where I used the c word last night, to which I have apologized, but I have never come across someone so selfish.

She's extreme right wing. Conspiracy theorist, where everyone is out to get her. Since she arrived she's done nothing but talk about leaving to meet her online friends all over the UK, in the snow and ice. She's disabled and can't even manage to call a cab let alone book a train ticket.

My SO has changed too. He's not relaxed. He can't. He's scared on how her behaviour looks on him. He says she's unbalanced the household. No one is settled. And the saddest thing he told me was he's never had a family setting like mine and its all he ever wished for when he was a growing up.

It just makes me so sad that his own mother has done this during his wedding, first married Christmas and New year, at the start of his new life.
