Birth defects test? I go in today for it

Question

Today's my appt for the birth defects test. Their doing blood work and and ultrasound. Question can they find out the gender from the blood work and or ultrasound? I'm 12 weeks today.

they said my first looked like a boy at 12 weeks (he was a boy), they said my 2nd looked like a boy at 12 weeks, found out at 14 weeks she was a girl. 12 weeks is too early

I found out at my 12 week ultrasound for the birth defects test, but usually it's highly unlikely and very unreliable.   Their parts aren't developed and big enough to accurately tell but it just so happens I had a 'very well endowed' little boy in there!

Birth defects test? I go in today for it
