Went in for blood test

I went to doc for blood test to confirm pregnancy at 12 dpo (all

Bfps were faint lines).She gave me a urine test instead and it was positive !!! (Though still light) and said that was enough to confirm and ordered blood work. I checked the tests she ordered and none were for hcg, just the usual work up and some for diabetes,rubella etc. Do they usually order the hcg? I still feel in shock because I felt so many more symptoms last month than this one and wanted a blood test to prove it. Baby dust to everyone !!!
