Is this normal?

I found out I was preggo on Christmas day from a HPT. The test said I was about 1-2 weeks along but if you do the math from my last af I am a little over 4 weeks. My doctor doesn't want to see me until the 15. Is that weird. Why would he want to wait so long before my first appointment?

You're 4 weeks but bubbas only been in there for 2. 
They don't need to see you sooner 
You're only going to have blood taken and should have a heartbeat at 6 weeks

Although you are 4 weeks according to your last menstrual period, the gestational age of your baby is only 2 weeks.  I mean think about it logically, when you were on your period last month you weren't technically pregnant then were you? 😊

Most doctors now will not see you until you are 8 weeks, but 6 weeks gestational age.  They prefer that because at that time they can at least hear a heart beat.
