Remove IUD?

Question

I had my IUD put in this past August. They said give it 6 months (until February), but the pain during my cycle is nearly unbearable. Severe cramps in stomach, back, legs, nauseous, dizzyness, sweats... Etc...I'm wondering if I should tough it out or take it out? :/

What kind do you have? I have the paragard (copper/nonhormonal) and after a few months, the cramps went back to normal. But I questioned "if my cramps are going to be this bad for the entire time I have this thing, I don't want it anymore". For me, time was what it took to help the pain go away.

I had it too and I decided to take it out after the year. And now I still get really bad back pain when I'm on my period. 😦 It's not for everyone.

I personally would have it removed i had the sever cramping during my cycle along with really bad mood swings and wen i had it removed the doc told me that it sounded like my body was rejecting it. And now my periods r slightly irregular so im not too happy about it

A good friend of mine said she had a miserable first few months but nothing but smooth sailing since. It's your call.
