Uber taxi service: What was your experience?

I've taken Uber a few times, usually with other people. I have taken it by myself twice but felt a bit uncomfortable. I've heard many bad stories on the news. Has anyone had any bad experiences?

I've never had a bad experience. My husband and I have always been impressed by the drivers.

I LOVE Uber!  I often use them and they are lovely! Much cheaper, better models of cars, friendly but not creepy. Usually always rate my drivers  five stars.

I've never had a bad experience but it's just annoying when you're really trying to get from Point A to Point B, yet they want to talk you up a storm.

Its unique to the drivers individually. Regardless of what company you use. Do not get in the car with a taxi driver that you get the creeps from. Trust your judgment. I've been through some crazy stuff and I learned that trusting your instinct is the biggest part of being able to protect yourself. Hand him $15 and apologize that you aren't needing the service anymore.

Umm I've never taken it by myself but if you are from out of town they try to screw you saying they know an easier way and spend longer to get you too your destination. ... more $$ for them...
