Left tampon in a long time...?

Question

I accidentally left my tampon in for 12 and 1/2 hours last night-- am I going to get Toxic Shock Syndrome? Or something else?
I know they say to not leave it in for any longer than 8 hrs on the box, but I have to wonder, what is the actual amount of time that, if it's left in, is dangerous?

Toxic Shock symptoms are very dramatic and hard to miss, so unless you are experiencing severe headache, vomiting, etc. you should be fine

I sleep with tampons in all the time so that's a good 10-12 hours and never gotten tss. Not saying it can't happen but if you have good hygiene and don't get yeast infections a lot, you're probably fine.

Don't be too scared unless you have flu like symptoms.shit like that happens,I have forgot and tried to put another tampon in.
