Contraception!

I've been waiting for marriage to have sex and at the end of this year my fiancée and I are planning on getting married. I know it's not for a while, but I don't know what to do for contraception! I'm allergic to latex and don't know what a condom would do to me. I'm quite honestly terrified of birth control because I don't want to gain weight and because I don't know if I could remember to take a pill everyday. Not to be ignorant, but what else is there? My school wasn't very informative when it came to birth control so I don't really know.
