Birth Control Mother Rant Thing

Adriana • 17 & stuff

Hello everyone! This is kind of a rant, I guess you could say.

Very, very late Saturday night I texted my mother asking her to call Planned Parenthood on Monday for me to schedule me an appointment to be put on birth control. I gave her two locations in which are closest to us, I gave her the phone numbers, and the hours they opened today.

She completely ignored that text message.

I'm pretty much *forbidden* to leave the house and hang out anywhere my boyfriend is because she's afraid I'll get pregnant... But she hasn't taken the initiative to get me somewhere to be put on birth control.

So, I texted her today while in school and I said, "Can you call them?" (as in Planned Parenthood) and she acted completely oblivious to my question. That was around noon today, she had to be at work at one, so didn't leave until 12:30.

Before I went to work, I texted her and asked her if she had called them yet, she didn't ignore me, nor act oblivious, she just said "No, I'm at work."

I honestly feel like she's avoiding the subject of putting me on birth control and I don't know what to do about it. She doesn't want me to get pregnant, but wants to ignore me when I ask her to put me on birth control..
