Saying I love you

My SO and I have been together for 2 years now and I said I loved him first, about 2 months into our relationship. He didn't tell me he loved me until 6 months into our relationship and now he hardly ever says it. I always say it first in person and over text and he responds with "luv u 2" or sometimes nothing at all.... Would that bother you?
