My bf said that he shows that he loves me through sex and there is no other way for guys to show that they love their gf.

But he's wrong, there's lots of ways a guy can show his love. Talk to him about other things he can do to make you happy. Give him some ideas and take it from there.

Men are very physical creatures.  So a lot of times they show love how they would like love to be shown to them. The best way to clear this up is to just sit down and talk with him about it. Let him know that maybe a little text during the day would be a great way to show he loves you or maybe a candy bar at the store. Sex is good too but there are defiantly other way to show someone you love them.  ut be sure to ask him the same question.  How does he like to be shown that you love him.  Communication is key. I've been married for ten years and have gone through the same thing.  This helped with us.  I hope this helps a little.

I think he probably does care but it's true that men can be more physical and see that as a way to show their love and likewise if they don't get sex can feel unloved themselves.
However that doesn't mean you have to accept it, if he's getting what he needs to feel loved but you're not then tell him, make him realise that you don't think the same way as him, you need others signs of affection because without them it can make you feel used

My boyfriend does this . He was my best friend first so I've bee knowing him a long time but people express feelings differently so try to understand that...unless you feel like he is using you then he is selfish and you shouldn't be with him because that's not the only way at all.
