Balancing work and dating

I am a corrections officer at prison. I work 12 hour nights, 6pm-6am and because I have no children I go in some nights that I am not scheduled to work. After meeting a guy and getting interested in him, he complains that I never have time for him and that I work too much. Now, he knew about my schedule and my overtime. I have never called out. In over a year I have only called out twice. I think I should leave him alone. How could he want me to call out for him?
