So in one of my ethics classes in med school we had to study philosophers and apply their beliefs to certain ethical situations. I thought I'd post one of the questions just to see what the average woman would do- void of a philosophers view. The question was: you are 22 weeks pregnant with your second child with your husband of eight years. You have a 3 year old son and are expecting a daughter. At this point you get a little bleeding- no big deal at all until the tests come back saying you've got stage 3 cervical cancer. Your options are to terminate and treat with chemo now or carry to term and face almost certain death for yourelf but a guaranteed healthy baby. What do you do?
