Am I being mean!?

I have a friend getting married in July I am due in August. I have large boobs now and can't wear strapless bras now! She wants me to wear a strapless dress and heels! At 8+ months! I think this is an absolutely ridiculous thing for her to think I would be capable of! But when I said something about it she was kinda rude and said everyone else can wear them and you can tape your boobs! If a strapless bra won't hold them I doubt tape would work and not to mention I refuse to put tape on my sore sensitive boobs!

Tell her either you can alter your dress, or you'll have very visible bra straps showing. And that you're wearing flats, no question. She'll definitely not want bra straps showing in pics. Brides who make their bridesmaids wear strapless dresses are inconsiderate anyway. They don't work on a lot of people.

The dresses I had my bridesmaids wear were also strapless but came with straps so the girls could wear straps if they wanted and some of them did! Maybe the seamstress can add straps to your dress? 
My maid of honor who is my sister was pregnant and she wore flats that were the same color as all the other girls heels (silver). My best friend was also pregnant but chose to wear heels lol They were both worried I wouldn't want them in my wedding because they were pregnant but I told them I wanted them in my wedding regardless and I made sure they were comfortable!  I'm sure your friend feels the same just have an honest conversation with her and tell her how you're feeling. Wedding planning really is stressful and I'm sure she needs you by her side on her special day so she will accommodate your needs to be a happy & comfortable pregnant lady 😊

This was how it looked when my sister in law put her straps on for pictures, I didn't think it looked terrible and ruined the picture. What do you think?

Weddings bring out the worst in people. I wouldn't nicely tell her you cannot wear heals and suggest that you get straps sown in. Good luck !

It can be really stressful planning a wedding, it might be uncomfortable for you but you have to understand that your friend has an exact vision for her wedding that she has been planning and working for. I don't think she is trying to be insensative, she is probably really stressed and has a lot of people in her ear making complaints. Its one day and if she is a good friend I say give her a break and suck it up. Its one day and chances are at 8 months you will feel uncomfortable anyways.

I'm in a friends wedding in June and I'll be 36 weeks.  She's been great about letting me have a different dress from the other bridesmaids and wearing what makes me comfortable! I also had another friend who was 37 weeks pregnant when my wedding happened. She sadly had already ordered her bridesmaid dress for my wedding but I told her to wear whatever she wanted and if the day of she decided it was all too much and she wanted to sit out she could!!! My wedding was my priority.. I didn't think it needed to be everyone else's! And I'm finding that  my friend who's getting this summer is treating me the same. She knows I have a lot going on and she's grateful that I'm making the effort to still be apart of her day.

If this "friend" of yours is giving you a hard time she clearly is living in selfish town and maybe isn't all that great of a friend 😟 I say do what's best for you and yours!

I would sit her down and tell her that she is risking your babies safety wearing hills and taping would be extreemly uncomforable. I got married last year and it's so stressful everyone becomes a little of bridezilla. Maybe buy her lunch and ask her to please come up with a compromise. Make her feel good and reassure her you want to be there for her and you are honored to be a part of her day but she needs to compromise with you. Good luck!

That's just rude of her! My best advice is to bring her an option you're comfortable with a very similar dress and very similar flats that matches what she is looking for. armed with that option she may be more receptive to change. I'm so glad I had the girls in my wedding pick the style of dress their were comfortable in my color and I just approved everything. When you have different body types not everyone is going to be a) comfortable or b) flattering in the same dress! Just my 2 cents! Good luck!

Tell her that this is not an option. I don't think it's mean. I'm 6 months pregnant and cannot imagine wearing heels now. I sure as hell wouldn't tape my breasts, either! Ouch!

I would consider not being in the  wedding. At 8+ months pregnant the stress of that wedding will be the LAST thing you want. Weddings are so time consuming and you'll want to be focusing on your baby. Not to mention the cost. Last wedding I was in I spent at least $1000 on all festivities and dress, etc. I was 10 weeks pregnant at the time and couldn't imagine having been 8 months.
