I've had multiple ldr's, the one that mattered lasted about a year and we're finally living together, going on 3 years now. 
Any and all ldr's can and will work, as long as both people are willing to make it work. :)

He's in the Navy and deploys for months at a time, so technically, we still are.

I met my boyfriend on vacation in Miami (I live in CT) and he was living in Florida at the time (but he was born in CT, what are the chances?!) so when I came back home from my vacation we kept contact, really enjoyed each other. I ended up going to visit him for my birthday last year for he first time, he came for Christmas, we tried to see each other about every 4 to 6 months, it wasn't easy, but FaceTime makes it more than possible! If it wasn't for FaceTime idk where I would be!! Long story short, he just moved up to CT and I couldn't be happier!! Long distance relationships are all about communication, communication is KEY! Wish you the best!

I'm in one now and we are engaged we are waiting till I graduate school for me to move to him. He lives in New Zealand and I live in the usa

Well,  I've lived in Florida while he was in North Carolina.  
Then I got moved to California,  he was still in NC. 
Now he's in San Diego and I'm 6 hours north.  
So pretty much we've always been in a LDR. It's worth it because we love each other and are in it for the long run. If you love the person you will make it work.

Yes. 2 years and a few months and we were from different countries and only visited each other twice :(

For the first year we were long distance and now 12 yrs later we are married and have been for almost 3 yrs

I've had 3. The second turned into one once I graduated from college but didn't last. He cheated. But now I'm in another one that started out as long distance and so far it's been amazing!
