Blood when I wiped

I am 38 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I had my doctors appointment today and she told me I was 2cm dilated. When I went to wipe I had light pink discharge. I just want to know if this happened to anyone else I am freaking out. I already called my midwife and I am waiting for her to call back. I'm a first time mom so I'm kinda scared
