I want to have a professional massage done. I will be about 12 weeks pregnant. Yes or no?

I said yes but only if it is a prenatal massage, there are certain areas and pressure points that your massuese needs to know to avoid.

I am a massage therapist and it is recommended that you wait till your 12 weeks. Also please make sure that the massage therapist you pick is actually certified. There are trigger points on the body that are very bad for pregnant woman and can either cause a miscarriage or preterm labor. You will not be laid on your back or stomach. The majority of the massage will be done on your left side.

Massages are fine as long as your therapist knows you're pregnant. I've had them during all 3 trimesters. I was getting them before I got pregnant, for chronic back issues.

I've had two, they just prop you up in various ways so you're not flat on your back or your front. Helps with the back pain and the awful shoulder pain from side sleeping
