Sexual Harassment
Maybe this is just something I have never experienced before in Houston, but are other ladies as appalled as I am at the sexual harassment videos going viral recently? I watched one a couple days ago where a woman was walking down the street and it seemed like every man who walked by her had something to say, some of them pretty vulgar.
I have never ever felt verbally, or any other way, attacked walking around Houston. Ever. If a man said something vulgar to me in the street, if I was close enough I would slap him, if I wasn't, I'm sure someone else would stick up for my honor. Men still apologize when they swear in front of me, and I'm 25, not some adorable old grandma.
Is this really an issue outside my bubble or are these videos staged to "draw awareness?"
