Many Moms afraid of looking "old"?

Question

I turned 40 2-weeks before I found out I was pregnant and now that the shock is somewhat starting wear off, I am concerned about looking old. I know I should be concerned about carrying the baby to term and it being healthy but I can't help be a little vain and worry about looking too old to be pregnant.

Yup, I'm right there with you ladies!!  I'm 43 and 19 weeks with this lol miracle....I get some looks now for sure, nobody says a word though, I'm sure they don't want to ask and be wrong!  Haha

I don't care what anyone thinks...I went thru 6 losses to get here and nobody is going to spoil it for me!! :)

Totally understandable. Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean it's okay to let ourselves go. Think like "I'm 40 and I'm gonna be a hot pregnant 40". We got the experience of knowing what looks good on us. We are confident at our age and usually we got the money to take care of ourselves.

I'm 44 and found out I was pregnant just after my birthday. Everyone can't believe I'm 44 , I have no gray or etc. our baby is healthy so what do I care no one asks my age. Their usually shocked at the age differences of my kids 24,10,8, and now newborn. We can't be happier.

I get ya! I haven't touched hair dye since I found out I was preg at 40. So I have like 3-4 inches of gray grow out. But I will color my hair before my huge baby shower outta vanity and not wanting to look like an old preg lady!

I'm 40 and on pregnancy number 12! I have 3 boys aged 18, 5 & 3 and this will hopefully be my last pregnancy andwe'll have a sticky baby to complete our family. I really couldn't care less that I'm older, I'm also a lot wiser and more patient than I was with my first. I love being an older mum :)

I'm going to color my hair, I'm a hair stylist and if your in your 2nd trimester and have good ventilation you can do your hair, there are also may alternatives, henna , tomato sauce, oops < red head so I have options , kool aid lol . Find liquorice (sp) black jello > party city . Look for good alternatives if your scared . Wizard of Oz movie used jello on there horses. Go to co op whole food store .

I'm 44 and if you look at my profile picture I don't think I look it, people are amazed when I tell them I have a 24 year old, not so much with the 10 and 8 year old. I'm my own worst critic as we all are when it comes to our looks but by far this I think is the best I've ever looked. Maybe I'll look my age when we don't get any sleep the first few weeks after baby's born lol
