Spotting half way through cycle

Why is it I spot halfway through my cycle I came on jan 2 and finished jan 5 then today 14 start spotting on and off until my next perid, it's there when I've been to the loo and wipe, this has been happening since u came off the pill in June last year, been trying to conceive for seven months now. I has pocs when I was trying to conceive in 1995 had three children. But now just got married to my new partner we really  baffled, wondering if anyone else has a similar story and has conceive any info appreciated.
