Should I get my nipples pierced?

I have heard that having your nips pierced can make them more sensitive. I also like the look of it, do any of you have pierced nips? If so, how bad was the pain on a scale from 1 to 10?

My exact quote after the first one when my friend asked me how it felt was, "oh like rainbows butterflies & sunshine!" Really it's the time after that they are healing that is the worst. Wearing a bra, shirt.. Anything on them/touching them sucks for a little while but I loved them after they were healed. I only took them out to breastfeed after having them pierced for 6 years.

I got one done over a month ago and I love the way it looks.  It really makes my less favorite boob a lot better.  It did hurt when I got it done, but the worst part was when my boyfriend gasped when he saw the needle go through (he agreed to watch).  That nipple is now more sensitive than the other, but they weren't very sensitive to begin with, so it's a new feeling for me.  I say go for it if its really what you want!

I have mine pierced and I like them, but you should know there is a risk of damaging your ability to breastfeed.

I'd have reconsidered if I'd known that at 18 when I had them done.

I would say don't do it. I passed out when she was piercing the second one. Most painful piercing I've ever had! And I heard that if you want to breast feed, they can cause scar tissue and you won't be able to. I wouldn't suggest it.

I had mine done twice. Neither time increased my sensation. I also had my clitoral hood pierced which again didn't do much for me. They all looked great but it depends on the woman as to whether it really increases sensation or not. The healing period of nipple piercings was the absolute worse and took forever. I've had 20 different piercings so I've been around the block a few times lol
