What do you do?

Since it came up in another thread about spouses frequently getting sucked into their spouse's career, what do you all do? What would you like to do insted of your current employment/unemployment? Any of you in school of going back?

At the moment, I'm just a housewife. Prior to this job hiatus I worked as a nanny, a zombie, dog walker, and did some freelance party planning. Long term I'd love to go back to school and persue a nursing degree. My fantasy job is to either be a full time zombie or a service animal trainer.

I'm a stay at home mom. I miss work. Don't get me wrong, I love my boy I just really miss bringing home a pay check. I've done a lot of things, I've been working full time since I left public school at 14. I've been a house cleaner (best pay, worst work), a barista, a breakfast cook, a CSR/day end operator for a newspaper, and office manager and a super load pilot car driver (while 6 months pregnant) to name a few. I love working. My hubby just got a really great job opportunity at a local refinery after working a a structure moving/super load hauling firm for 7 years. I'd like to go back to school but we are pretty jealous over our time together and I see him rarely enough as it is. I'll probably wait until the kid(s) are in school before I go back. It's too hard to decide what I want to do. Every time the community college course log shows up I drool and dream for a good hour while perusing the contents. I wish someone would just pay me to go to school.

I work as an interpretive exhibit guide at a very well known zoo. I'm in school for horticulture and also have a professional certification in floral design.

I'm a birth doula and childbirth educator. I plan on getting back into working in the school system again too..

Im a registered nurse with a background in telemetry, currently working as a nurse manager of an acute rehabilitation unit at a community hospital.

I got my masters of science in nursing in 2013 and my bachelors of science in nursing in 2007.

I will begin a nursing informatics certificate program in Fall 2015.

Ultimately, I would like to obtain a JD and have a legal nurse consulting business.

For sanity reasons, I would love to replace my nursing income with revenue from a catering business that I would like to open with my family.

Hubster is a laboratory acessioner in a large trauma hospital.

We would both like to get out of the acute care setting.

I use to work at a factory and loved working all the time. Then I married my husband and quit my 'career' to move and be with him. Sometimes I regret it but honestly I kind of like it. I love being able to spend every day with my husband. I am just a stay at home wife.. No kids yet however I think I will love being a stay at home mom when we do have kids. We tried us both working before and it just didn't work well with us... So as much as sometimes I want to go get a degree I don't think our marriage would last with us both working all the time.

I am currently a 26 week pregnant stay at home mom to a 19 month old & wife to a husband who works exhausting hours in a factory. I would like to be doing what I do at least until my children are in school though that is not likely.

I'm a housewife and this is exactly what I want to be.  I love taking care of my home and family, I love being there for everyone when they need me, I love being my own "boss" haha. I do watch a few kids throughout the week for a little extra cash, which I love.  If I had to have a job, I would want to work at a daycare or preschool :)

Im a registered MA but getting my associates degree. Lover face installs solar panels and repairs motorcycles on the side since that's what his degree is in. Ive been in the medical field almost 10 yrs, it's my calling. I love to work and be active but the older I get, the more I lean toward wanting to be a stay at home mom. That is if my uterus would hold another pregnancy .

I'm an accountant that works in a VERY niche market. Super high stress and very draining, constantly client facing, not what I want to be doing at all (but shame on me for getting my BS in accountancy). Ideally I would like to own my own dance studio as dance has been a huge part of my life from the time I was little. DH is a restaurant manager, and he loves it.
