Who to Talk to About Relationship Problems

Question

My husband has just been extra difficult lately... Making me feel really bad about myself. I thought I was getting really good about handling him, but I just realized that meant I was bottling up all these emotions. He doesn't compliment me enough, but has all these negative things to say about things I do wrong, or things I do that annoy him. He just won't listen. I thought about calling his mom up since she is obviously the woman who knows him best, and we get along really well... But, I didn't know if that would be unfair to him. Who do you all talk to when you are having relationship problems?

I suggest talking to a relationship or family therapist. If you talk badly or negatively about your husband to family and friends they may end up disliking him. I say, make an appointment with a family therapist and go alone first and make an appointment for him to go alone or the next appointment you two go together if he doesn't want to have an appointment with just him.

My husband did this, too. He's very, very critical sometimes.
So. One day when he was at his worst,  I started writing down everything he said. When he asked what I was doing, I said making a list. When he asked what of, I showed him. I had labeled it "Because He Doesn't Actually Want the Real Me." 
I then sat him down and talked. I told him everything I felt. Unloved. Mediocre. Worthless. Hurt. Angry. I felt like he wanted someone else.
I think it made him realize that he was seriously hurting me and pushing me away.
So he apologized. 
And honestly? He changed. He stopped. He started complimenting me and encouraging me more. It's amazing what the right conversation can do

Talk to him and if he rejects the idea, speak to your best frend or better yet, mother/father for advice especially if they are still married. There's things that happen maybe not with your marriage but work place that just makes him take it out on you? Speak to him first then turn to family or friends

I hate bringing my parents or his parents in unless is something very serious but usually keep everything between me and him if it's a huge argument I'll probably tell My sister/best friend but we usually make up before I even get a chance
