Yes it does but you have to put in the effort. My fiancé and I were long distance for 3 out of the 4 years we have been together. We even went a whole year without seeing each other!! However we would text each other all day, called each other everyday and would FaceTime any time we could. Look at us now: we are getting married in October! Long distance relationships are hard, but then can work if you and your partner trust each other and are dedicated to one another.

We lived 4600 miles apart for 4.5 years. Happily married and living together now :)

They can work, but you both have to be dedicated to making it work. My hubby and I lived in different states and I was still in college when we met, but we would call or text often (sometimes for ridiculous amounts of time lol) and keep in contact. We talk every night and say good night to each other. :)

Depends on the people but my and my now bf soon to be baby daddy, did it for the first 8 months (2 months talking 6 months dating) I believe every relationship should have a long distance period bc you learn so much about the other person. It's also good to know that someone misses you and the feeling of having support but not direct support helped me and him grow tremendously together. It taught us great communication. Now I know this does not always work and there has to be tons of trust but for me I wouldn't change it for the world
