How many years apart?

How many years did you wait to have your second child?

I am only asking because once we get our own house, my son will be about 2.5 yrs old and about that time we were thinking of ttc again for our 2nd. Would you think that 2.5 or 3 years apart would be a good distance apart, or should I wait a bit more? Or what's your distance number between siblings?

I am 6 years apart from one sister and 12 from the other. I find it quite difficult to relate to them and really don't have much in common with them at all. I think 2-3 years would be perfect, I want my kids to be close! but not too close!

My LO will be 2.5 next month and I'm 6 weeks! I'll have baby #2 1 month after she turns 3.. I love that she knows what's going on and can enjoy my pregnancy with me!! She's so excited!!

My daughters will actually be 22-23 months apart, depending on how early or late this one decides to come. My daughter is too young to understand that I'm pregnant & her baby sister is in my belly. I'm a little stressed at the idea of their closeness in age but one of my sisters & I are only 21 months apart & we were very close growing up & basically wanted to be twins, so I look forward to that in my own daughters.

I'm the oldest of 4, with my sis being 2.5 years younger and then I have two brothers, one six years younger and one seven. Me and my sis played together well until middle school and then we started getting along really well again when she went to college. We have always been involved in each other's lives (all 4) and always played with each other, but as we are now older we all are like best friends. And we live in different zip codes/areas. My parents have taught and shown us the importance of family and closeness which I think has played a huge role in just us siblings wanting to talk to and hang out with each other.

I have an almost 11 yr old and although I've questioned the debate of how much is too far apart, I know that no matter what I would love my child to experience the preciousness of having siblings aka permanent friends! My youngest brother died this summer and it has been a real eye opener for this.

I have no children yet. But my siblings ages are:
Eldest sister- 35
2nd Eldest sister- 33
Me and Twin sister- 30
Kid brother- 25

We are all very close and Im glad that the age gap between the oldest and youngest is only 10 years.

My kids are 11, 9, 6, and 5 and I'm due in June so they'll be a 12, 9.5, 6.5 and 5.5 year difference with them. The oldest is a girl and the others are boys and the boys are close and act well together. This one is a girl and I can just hope that her and her sister have a good relationship because I have two older sisters that are 10 and 12 years older then me and we never really spent time together and they just saw me as a tag along.
