Leggings=Pants?

I used to think girls who wore leggings outside of the gym looked trashy but I've been taking a lot of exercise classes so I'm in my lululemon leggings all the time now and I don't care as much as I used to haha. But today I was at a coffee shop and two old ladies looked me up and down and said (rather loudly, pretty sure they're deaf...) "Young girls today look so terrible in tights all the time. It shows all their lumps!" Now I'm 5'4" and 115 lbs so I'm not fat, but I felt really bad about myself after the mean old ladies made fun of me! What do you think about wearing leggings?
