Ever had HSG?

Anyone had a HSG done? What can i expect and does it increase chances of preg afterwards? I have pcos.

Iv just had mine done and all i can say is wow!!! That was awful pain but both my tubes were blocked and shes flushed them
Out now! I also have pcos but hopefully i still get pregnant :)

I just had my third HSG done last week. My first 2 were brutal so I was expecting the worst. This time, I took 1000mg of Tylenol and 500mg of Naproxen (Aleve in the USA) one hour and 15 mins before the test. Honestly, it was a piece of cake. I thought she was kidding when she said she was done this time. I don't know if it was her technique or the drugs... But I've had worse Pap smears.

I had one done before my laproscopic surgery to remove fibroids. I freaked myself out by reading how painful everyone said it was. I felt nothing! A little cranky afterwards but barely anything. Good luck!

I had one done and it was painful for like 5 seconds only because I had one tube partially blocked. Other than that I had cramping afterwards for like 5 min. I did get pregnant after that bug I had to take clomid bevause I also have pcos only mild though.

I do not have PCOS & I don't know anyone who does. But I have had an HSG. I would say it was uncomfortable to mildly painful. But everyone's definitions of pain/discomfort are different. I did not get pregnant after but my best friend did, presumably because the tubes are clean & clear.
