Possible UTI? Unsure

Sometimes after a weekend of lots of sex with my boyfriend I get what feels like the beginning of a UTI. It doesn't burn but I have the constant urge to pee and feel crampy. Usually this goes away without getting medicine from the dr. I thought you had to get medicine for a uti to go away? Any ideas on what this is?

One thing you should get in the habit of adding to your post-sex ritual is peeing. Its the best way to clear out any potential irritants and prevent UTIs. 
Also, consuming cranberry juice will keep them at bay too.

If you DO get one, a) you'll know it and b) you HAVE to get a course of antibiotics from your dr. Otherwise it WILL travel up into your kidneys.

Whenever I feel one coming on I take cranberry pills and drink a ton of water, it helps a lot. If I feel it getting worse I take cystex(it's over the counter) and it clears it in a day or two. Just make sure he's clean and that you pee after sex!

Most of the time, you body will naturally filter out the uti. Especially if you drink plenty of water! So it is normal for it to go away on it's own. You should only go and get medication for it if it burns and won't go away. Or gets worse. Once mine felt like it was better then it went straight to my kidney. Worst thing ever! So if that happens go to the urgent care!
