Ultrasound! Holding your bladder??

Have a ultrasound next weekend where I have to drink 20 oz of water and hold it for my ultrasound. Any tips on making this easier then I believe it sounds?! Thanks ladies!!

I was told to drink 32 oz before NT scan. I drank most of it on the car ride over (20 minute drive) and was fine until about a couple minutes before they called my name. I let the tech know my bladder was extremely full and she worked as fast as possible to view the surrounding area and then let me use the restroom before she did the rest of the scan to take measurements. I later asked how a full bladder helps and she said the schedulers have to say to drink that amount but she thought the amount was too much. She told me that the way a full bladder helps is that it pushes stuff forward and removes gas bubbles giving a better view of the surrounding areas.

I have had many ultrasounds completly dehydrated with an empty bladder (hyperemesis), and they went fine!

With my first i drank some water before, but not so much that it became painful to hold it.

I do it over 1/2 hour before not the hour. But no peeing within that hour. I've had to empty some out with it too full before- that's so hard not to empty it for relief!! I've learnt to be pretty good at it now with 4th on the way!
