Can I vent here?

Question

I must preface with this: I do have one child and I am so thankful. I know there are others out there with no children who desire more.

Last night I took daughter to Chik-Fil-A for a play date. Across the room was a little family. All beautiful, what looked like an entire litter of children. And my thought was wow, such cute kids. They are blessed. Then the mom turned around and she's very noticeably pregnant. Suddenly, I'm just angry. Why is it so easy for some and so difficult for others?? And, lately, on the news there's these stories of people harming or killing kids.

I'm currently at the OBGYN office for an ultrasound mid cycle to check out my eggs. I'm sure there's a more scientific name for whatever. I didn't really listen.

We all have our own trials. I used to think that of my sister-in-law who had 6 boys.. She even had twins naturally all on her own - no fertility medication. But she really wants a girl. And now she's done trying to get one. We all have our own experiences and struggles. I know it's hard not to notice people who are pregnant, I think Facebook makes that worse... But I have been trying for nearly 4 years now and one thing I have learned to tell myself is, one person's ease or capability to have children has nothing to do with me and my struggle. People get pregnant and I have no control over that, so it's a waste of energy being mad about it. Idk if that helps, but it's helped me put some things into perspective.

I wonder that all the time! Just try to focus on the positives and stay optimistic. You have gotten pregnant before you will again!

I feel your pain. Anytime my husband and I see a family with more than one kid and a noticeably swollen belly, we say to each other "greedy much?!" We have no children and have been trying for over a year. It's been a rough year and seeing so many successfully fertile people everywhere gets to be exhausting!
