Miscarriage burials?

Have any of you ladies done this or know someone who has. I have yet to pass the baby but when it comes time I feel like the baby deserves something proper. Ladies what all have you done for your angels?

I lost my Alley at 36 weeks following a full placenta previa. It has been 8 years today.

I lost my son at 22wks. My husband is not really good at dealing with death and we both decided we didn't want a ceremony as we needed to grieve in private so we opted to have our Son cremated. We keep his ashes in a heart shaped music box and an angel teddy bear with him.

I've Lost 2 babies at 22 weeks and our hospital has a contract with a local cemetery where they will bury them for free in a group funeral, with all lost babies during the month.  We opted for this and just paid for the head stones. I'm not sure if this is available everywhere. It was a wonderful ceremony and a great way to find some closure.

This is a very personal choice, where every answer is right because it works for you. I'm saddened by all of my losses but I have choosen to not have a constant reminder.

Do whatever helps you find closure. As moms we need to know where are babies are and sometimes that closire just doesnt happen if you dont have a service. Also I just wanted to say you ladies (and your SO's) are so strong for this!! I lost two babies about 6 months apart both very early on so this wasnt really an option for me. I couldnt imagine the pain and heartbreak you went through! I almost lost my daughter (rainbow baby) and the thought of living without her now makes me lose it!! prayers for all of you beautiful ladies and your angel babies!!

Losing Meredith at 20 weeks we had a full graveside service at a cemetery near our home. I love having a marker to take flowers to. Also to keep her memory alive I blog (not constantly but I do). My sister has 3 angel babies and had gravesides fro them as well.

I lost our baby at 16 weeks, and we decided in cremation. To be honest, it was SO hard to find someone who would deal with a child, let alone a child that had passed in womb. It was really insulting the answers we got from Places such as they don't consider it a child, or that they won't do it because it was "just a miscarriage". We finally found someone. And we went got a loan because we couldn't afford it. It helped us feel more at peace.

My sister had 2 burials for miscarriage/termination (medical reasons) for her son and daughter. For me that isn't how I grieve so I wouldn't but if it would help you mourn you should do anything you want. It's your loss.

I lost a baby in May last year. He was 18 weeks gestation. It was one of the hardest things I have lived through. For me and my family, a traditional service and burial is what I needed to achieve some type of closure. My husband performed a beautiful service for our closest family and friends at the grave side then we had a meal at our home. I am able to go there when I need to. My daughters and I often release a white balloon for him when we are missing him( everyone released a white balloon with a message tied to it at the service. I know this is not a reasonable option for some because it was not cheap. No one financially plans to bury their unborn baby. This option ended up costing use about $2000 ( including the headstone) the funeral home we used gave us their services at cost.

I've only had early losses so I personally didn't have anything really to but one of my good friends lost her son at 20 weeks and I helped her with expenses for cremation with me it would all depend on how far along I was
