Blood test?

So I just had a BFP. I called my OBGYN and they said they will see me at 8 weeks for my ultrasound. They said they don't routinely do blood work at this point. Is that similar to the experience you guys are having?

I have never had blood work taken with my first two pregnancies. Lost a baby In November and got pregnant again in December and got blood taken. So for me it's only because I miscarried before

I saw my doc at 4 weeks and so on I've seen them 5 times already and I'm 6 weeks and 2days. They saw me to do blood work and a early ultrasound due to abdominal pain and spotting. Also I have some history. One doc wouldn't see me till 10 weeks so it depends in who you see and what their procedure is.

Yes. I am seeing my dr next week. I'll be just past 7 weeks. Haven't seen her since before I took clomid before my BFP.

My first appt isn't until 8w6d. I have 2 trips back to back after that so I wanted to make sure everything was OK. It's my first and they said that that's what they typically do.

Yeah, my provider is doing the same for me. They said the earliest they see pts is 8wks. Being my first time I thought it was kind of weird but seeing that it's totally normal

My hubby is in the army and the military does it completely different. You HAVE to get a blood test confirming to even get a referral to go to the obgyn and make an appt. But I got a few more tests done to check hcg levels due to previous miscarriages and an early ultrasound and 5w5d. I am now 8w2d and waiting for my heartbeat ultrasound at 9w2d

My first pregnancy I didn't get blood work done until I was more further along. Now, I'm 5 weeks pregnant with second baby and am only getting repeat blood work done because of my history of miscarriages. If you haven't had a previous loss then your doctor may not feel it's neseccary. Congrats love!

I had blood taken at my first appointment. They didn't tell me I was going to have it done,but I figured and read that they usually do it the first appointment. Everywhere is differnt though.
