His stomach isn't fully developed so he was being fed through the cord for a week but he could breathe on his own... It's been just over a week and he is still in the NICU but getting stronger everyday :)

How was the baby's health? Did she/he have to stay in the NICU?

My girl was 3lb 8oz at 32+4 weeks. I haven't had a baby over 6lbs so expect a small one! It's all an estimation now. Got another scan in 12 days so will have more of an idea then.

From about 35 weeks normally babies put on about 1/2pound a week. Even if they're small though doesn't matter. My son was fully walking by 10 months and always very strong!

It's all estimated so wouldn't completely rely on the scan, if they find them to be small and growth is steady they'll be fine. I have small babies due to high Bp and it's affects. I'm due to deliver to at 38 weeks. As long as growth is fine, no need to worry!

Hi Jennifer! I am a FTM and found out recently my little one is small! Were you babies always behind during ultrasounds or just simply small?

At 32 weeks mine weighed an estimated 4lb 7oz. They said that was the 60th percentile.

I have mine this Friday (also a boy, I'll be 32+4). Keep in mind that ultrasound measurements can be inaccurate when they calculate weight.

Just had my scan, baby boy is measuring 5 lbs 5 oz! The tech asked if my glucose screening had been negative (it was, in fact my number was great) and I just about hit her. DH and I were both big babies.

I just had a ultrasound yesterday for growth and my son weighed the exact same thing! The tech said he was in the 52 percentile. The weight is just an estimate he could weigh less than that so don't get worried.

Hmmmm... Maybe he's measuring a week or so ahead then?

Ok I just found out what it was the percentage they are talking about means that 52% of other babies are smaller than your baby. They say this number is average online but the ultrasound tech told me that a baby should weigh between 3.5 to 4 pounds at 32 weeks.

I really don't know to be honest what the percentile means but the ultrasound tech did say he was measuring big for gestational age
